Blogging since 2012 from Mississippi... long before we arrived in the Tropic Shade!

It's hard for me to believe I've been blogging for over 20 years. I first began blogging when I was involved working in real estate on the Active Rain network. When I made the decision to retire, I launched a website titled "Retired in Samar." If you've been a long-time follower, you've likely been around since I began blogging about retiring to the Philippines. I first started blogging about the validations surrounding our decision to move, then I did a series of chronicles during our preparation to move starting in 2013. And if you've been around that long, surely you remember one or two of the hundreds of articles I published since that time over the years.
I quit public blogging in 2017 and shifted my efforts to Patreon for exclusive membership reading only. Just last year, I took the old Living in the Pacific domain out of mothballs and revived the public blog on this new website.
This blog now incorporates many of our older and more popular blog articles posted during years past, and each of those archived posts have been revisited and revised as necessary for accuracy.
As this site is repopulated with older archived posts, new posts will make their way into the mix, so sign up, subscribe, hit all the buttons and come back often and see what's new. I've got a lot of work to do.
