Philippines Enters Record Book….Again!

Another Guinness Record!

Cebu City, Philippines. Once again, the Philippines has added another category to their collection of accolades in the Guinness Book of World Records. This time they danced their way into the books with ZUMBA for having the largest ZUMBA class ever assembled. The previous record was held by India with more than 6,600 dancers. Headed by the Zumba Instructors Network (ZIN) of Cebu, participants from all walks of life joined together on Saturday, 18 Oct, 2014 to beat India’s record. Cebu and the Visayas produced a total of 8,232 participants to capture the new world record.

Everyone knows that Filipinos love the spotlight and moments of fame. Not surprising, just a few other world records held by the Philippines include World’s Longest Basketball Game (120 hours, 1 minute and 7.8 seconds), Longest Barbecue (8,000 meters), and the Most Women Breastfeeding Babies Simultaneously (4,000).

I believe the Philippines should be nominated for the record for having the most World Records.
