Did you know that the most popular reality TV show Survivor has once again chosen the Philippines as the site of their newest Survivor series? That’s 3 Survivor shows in a row set in the Philippines! Both the 25th and 26th seasons of Survivor took place in Caramoan, Camarines Sur in the Bicol region of the Philippines.
The 25th season episode premiered on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, followed by the next season which premiered on February 13, 2013.
The upcoming season is set to take place on Palaui Island, Sta. Ana, Cagayan, Philippines. Here is a link to Lakwatserong Tsinelas, a Philippine blog article that highlights a trek to Palaui off the far northeastern coast of Luzon.
For those that do not know, I myself will star in my own personally directed Survivor series to be located in the Province of Samar beginning this August (2013). Without all the fancy fanfare, and without the big CBS production and film crews, my series will undoubtedly be filled with all the realities of behind the scenes events like Lechon (roast pig) barbeques and San Miguel beer. I will have my close personal assistant and best friend (my asawa) by my side for added comfort. I will also have a shower readily available and all the markets with which to buy my fresh meats, fruits, and vegetables. I will have fire! Although I will have a few more creature comforts like the internet, air conditioning, and a refrigerator, there will be some similarities…I will be sporting that nice Survivor suntan, I will rest in cool tropical breezes in the shade of towering coconut trees, and I will be barefoot most of the time. And that is where the similarities will end.
My prediction is that I will come out as the big winner when the upcoming Survivor series ends. Because, when it is all over, all the other contestants will have to go home. Me, I get to stay and continue to play the game!
