A Spur of the Moment Detour equals Another Day in Paradise.

A Beach Walk Turns Into….

Because we live less than a mile from Guam’s most famous tourist beach area, Tumon Bay, I suggested to the wife that we head down for an evening stroll along the beach and catch the sunset. This is the place where we usually do our snorkeling together.

As we walked down the beach, we took a little detour and happened onto the Pacific Islands Club Adventure Park. There we discovered a Tranquility Garden, Yoga hut, 5 separate pools and a lagoon with waterfall, an in-ground aquarium, kayak river, indoor and outdoor tennis and badminton courts, archery range, fitness center, the Beachfront Barbecue Restaurant, and a myriad of watercraft rentals. Oh, and many Japanese tourists! Then we stuck around and played 18 holes of mini-golf course. It was fun. Then we enjoyed a couple of cold refreshments as the sun set and were back home in minutes. It was just another day in Paradise!

Check out my latest YouTube video about our little adventure HERE!

First, a bit of Yoga in the Tranquility Garden!

Then, it was time for a little challenge!

I was captured by a man-eating tree in the Tranquility Garden.

Taking a break from all that golf!

If you are living in the Philippines and long for a change of paradise, jump on over to Guam for a quick getaway. There is much to do here and is only 3 1/2 hours from Manila. Philippines Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Delta, and United all fly this way with direct flights from Manila.
